This neckerchief completes the professional chef's workwear. The triangular scarf is wrapped around the neck and ensures above all that sweat is absorbed and does not soak the collar of the chef's jacket. In this way, it protects the neck from inflammation. Also, if the workplace is changed frequently -- from the hot kitchen to the cold cold room or freezer and back to the hot kitchen -- the unprotected neck would be exposed to comparatively high temperature fluctuations and could quickly become sore.
The scarf can be tied with a simple knot or - classically - with a tie knot at the front of the neck. It is made of a very easy-care blended fabric that is ideal for daily hygienic washing.
